New Custom Home in Hoover on the Lake

Our J. Wright Building Company team is proud to announce the completion of brand-new custom home in Hoover, Alabama. And this time, the home has a bit of a unique twist from our usual farmhouse projects! From the outside, this Spanish-inspired lakehouse showcases gleaming white brick with rustic stone detailing along the porch steps and columns, as well as above the doorway and several of the larger windows. The tin roof creates a relaxing feel on the front porch, while the large double door entry welcomes its homeowners inside to their beautiful new abode.

Though the entryway, the homeowners and their guests are led through a stunning foyer featuring a bold, natural wood ceiling overhead, as well as an adjacent elegant dining room with a coffered ceiling. In the home’s living room, dark wooden beams highlight the A-frame design and compliment the grand stone fireplace that centers the space. On one side of the fireplace, convenient built-ins provide added storage and counterspace for organizing or displaying belongings. A bench on the other side creates a cozy seating nook for quiet reading sessions or overflow seating for guests. Of course, we must mention the large, whimsical chandelier that centers the room from above to provide a truly elegant touch. Along the back wall are two oversized windows and a door leading to the home’s expansive A-framed covered porch, which provides a perfect setting for admiring picturesque lakeside views.

Connected to the living room, the home’s kitchen offers an equally as elegant space with its off-white cabinets and vintage finishes encapsulating the room. Sleek stainless steel kitchen appliances are built right in for a seamless look, while the picket tile backsplash behind the stove adds a fun contrast to the white subway tile and overall neutral kitchen space. In the center of the room stands a dark wood island with white quartz countertops and a silver pendant light fixture above. Tucked away in its own alcove below a large picture window is a freestanding soaking tub ideal for at-home spa nights. Double vanity sinks and ample storage space are set against a paneled wall and separated by a door that leads into an oversized walk-in closet with custom shelving galore.
