We love finishing projects because then we get to share it with you! We just completed a custom home in Gardendale and our clients are in love. They are so excited to move into their dream home created by J. Wright Building Company, and we’re honored to hand over the keys on moving day!

This single-family home features a modern farmhouse exterior with white painted brick, custom wood accents and tin roof on the front porch and window awnings. Inside, we used dark hardwood floors and bright white trim and accents to create a unifying look throughout the first floor.

The kitchen features a steep vaulted ceiling and contrasts perfectly with the decorative and functional wooden beams that extend across the room. State-of-the art stainless steel appliances and fixtures are incorporated into this kitchen, which features a farmhouse sink under a beautiful row of windows, custom white cabinetry and an oversized grey island complete with extensive storage space. Clean white countertops and a white subway tile backsplash complete the sleek look.

One of our favorite rooms in this home is the master bathroom. A white barn door opens to reveal a large, oversized bathtub next to a glass enclosed shower. The flooring in this bathroom uses large, gray tile reminiscent of concrete to match the veining in the marble tile surrounding the tub and shower. Two grey vanities are capped by oversized round mirrors. The master bathroom is connected to a spacious hardwood floored master bedroom, a large walk-in closet with plenty of shelf space, and even the laundry room complete with unique tiled floor.

Other features were added throughout the house that contribute to its uniqueness. The powder room features a beautiful wood raw wood vanity, and a dark wood shiplap feature wall is located in the hallway outside of the powder bath. In the great room, a brick fireplace is capped by a natural wood mantle and tall shiplap feature wall, while the vaulted ceiling features wood beams that coordinate with those in the nearby kitchen.

This home also boasts a covered back porch complete with a ceiling fan and stone fireplace. Perfect for all types of weather, this quaint sitting area will surely be used all year round.
