Hoover Custom Home Completed by J. Wright Building Company November 12th, 2019 | by Jeremy Wright | Posted in Custom Homes One of the best parts about finishing a new custom home is getting to share the finished product with you! One of our most recent projects was a Hoover custom home for a happy and deserving family. We made sure every detail was well thought out ensuring their dreams became a reality. With a soft green color, the exterior of this rustic modern farmhouse looks beautiful all year round with a mix of shake shingles, board and batten trim, and traditional siding. Light brown accents complement the exterior nicely in the form of rustic columns and a beautiful double door at the front entry. Darker brown accents are found in the large garage doors and the window trim. The metal roof topped with traditional weather vanes and the wood corbels under the front awnings complete the farmhouse look. Throughout the main floor, we used a mixture of browns to help the area feel warm and inviting, while not overpowering the nature views seen from the many doors and windows. From the light beige colors of the walls, to the deep browns of the door frames, fixtures, hardwood floors and wooden beams, everything flows seamlessly. The expansive floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace in the family room featured the perfect mix of stone colors that tied all of the space’s brown tones together. With southern farmhouse living in mind, we used a combination of both traditional and modern farmhouse elements throughout this custom Hoover home. The vaulted family room ceiling features whitewashed shiplap, while the fireplace has a natural wood beam mantle. And of course, we love incorporating large barn doors in our homes, especially in long hallways. This makes an otherwise plain area full and meaningful. We also added in modern farmhouse features in the kitchen. This oversized island kitchen is open and inviting, a staple of any southern home. One of our favorite additions was the pantry. What is normally an overlooked closet used only for storage is now a decorative focal point of this important room. We placed an antique door with frosted glass windows on traditional barn door rollers. The backsplash throughout the kitchen echoes the colors of the stacked stone fireplace in the family room, while the dark pantry door, dark stained island and dark wooden hood over the stove mimic the darker browns found throughout the rest of the main floor. The farmhouse elements were broken up with modern stainless steel appliances, industrial-style lights over the sink, and crisp shaker-style cabinet doors. The perfect place to retreat after a long day is the bathroom. That’s why we paid special attention to the master bath. This room features an oversized standalone tub with beautiful views from the surrounding windows. The bathroom also houses a glass-enclosed shower with dual showerheads, river rock flooring and a convenient bench. Completing the master bath are oversized dual vanities and an incredible closet with custom built-ins. We could talk for days about this beautiful Hoover custom home, but we’ll stop here.
