Employee Feature: Stuart Henderson

At J. Wright Building Company, we truly value our employees. We have an amazing team that is passionate about homebuilding and loves to help our customers create the custom home of their dreams. We enjoy the bond we build with our homeowners during the building process, and we want to offer our customers an opportunity to know our team better.

Meet Stuart Henderson, our Construction Superintendent!

Stuart has worked with J. Wright Building Company for three years and currently oversees our building sites. Stuart greatly enjoys being part of the building process and has built his career around this passion. He has worked in the construction business for 36 years in several roles, from selling building materials to building homes.

From day to day, you’ll find him supervising job sites, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to get work done and ensuring material is delivered in a timely manner. Stuart’s favorite part of working with J. Wright is helping produce custom work and the freedom he is given to perform his role.

When asked about the most challenging aspect of his position, Stuart points out that right now, it is maintaining a building schedule, as both materials and workers have been in tight supply. However, he finds it rewarding that his job allows him to have personable interactions with subcontractors and homeowners, so the challenge is worth it!

Stuart loves to build a friendship with homeowners and enjoys the opportunity to see how pleased they are with their new Alabama custom home that he’s played a part in bringing to life. Although he has fun and makes jokes with homeowners, he always prioritizes his work to ensure quality in every home we build.

When not assisting on construction projects, Stuart enjoys spending time with his family, loves to spend time outdoors and likes to cook out. In fact, when we asked him about his favorite projects that he’s worked on so far, he said the outdoor living spaces we’ve built on to our custom home projects are always his favorite!
