Employee Feature: John Patterson

At J. Wright Building Company, we prioritize spotlighting our valued team members who work hard behind the scenes to construct beautiful homes across Birmingham, Alabama. John Patterson recently joined our team as our Construction Bookkeeper.

John joins the J. Wright Building Company team with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a prominent career with over 22 years of experience. Before joining the team, he previously held a position with a steel storage container manufacturer, where he gained valuable experience to launch him into his current position.

Patterson said, “My favorite thing about this job is the support I receive from management for new ideas and systems!”

In his role, Patterson assists administratively by rebuilding account systems to promote productivity and efficiency within the company. He also assists with day-to-day operations and tasks as needed. In his challenging position, Patterson shared that although there has been a learning curve in becoming familiar with the company’s systems and framework, he looks forward to fantastic results.

Patterson said, “I believe in helping people and am willing to invest in relationships [within this role] to help further our goals.”

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his large family and embarking on outdoor adventures, whether camping, hunting, or climbing! Patterson also fondly remarked on how his grandchildren mean the world to him.
